ATP Film

Hey Folks!

During my last visit to the greatest music festival in existence this (back in April?) I was aware of some general chat about somebody making a film about the festival. Cool! I thought. I hope they don't focus on that git in the cape too much and instead get on film some of the great performances I have seen in my visits to Camber Sands. The festival ended and I went home. I had in the back of my mind this notion since looking out for a DVD or some other news of what they had come up with, if anything. At all the ATP's I have been to there have always been camcorders floating round the stage, weilded by various behind stage crew keeping a document of the on-stage antics up to the point where at the last one there appeared CCTV type pole cameras mounted to the PA system on the lower stage. So I was expecting some sort of DVD with best performances and random between stage/back stage hi-jinks. Tomorrow I am off to see Yo La Tengo live at the Forum, an event organised by the ATP lot and noticed something about an ATP film with its own MySpace page (see http://www.myspace.com/atpfilm). On this page they are appealing for footage of certain acts, presumably which they are attempting to cover more fully, with the film being a mish-mash of professional and amateur footage (God bless ATP's freedom on cameras!). One of the artist performances they are appealing for footage on is PJ Harvey, hang on a second, I saw her, hang on a second, I have some excellent footage of her! I shall let you know how I get on!
